Designing Instruction using Technology
I use Schoology to store and present information to my students. I like this app and website because I can use it each year without having to search my files. It stores my curriculum in sequence. There are parts that I have available to students and parts that are just for me. I am able to embed YouTube, EDpuzzle, Google Slides, Plickers and Quizzizz links into the pages the students see.
I am off campus two or three days a week from February through the end of May for coaching duties. I use Screencast-o-matic to make videos that I can also embed on my Schoology site for directions and teaching. I am simply out too much and can't afford to loose that much precious classroom teaching time.
Reflection: The one thing that has helped me tremendously is the ease and useability of Schoology. When I am off coaching, I can easily assign or correct lessons from my phone. Most of the time it is used this way to clarify something on the lesson for that day. The ease of this app & site does not go unrecognized.
